- Can I use it today?
- Yes — a free pre-release build for macOS and Windows is on the download page. It captures, styles and annotates screenshots and exports them. It is not code-signed yet, so both operating systems will warn you on first launch; the download page walks through exactly what you'll see and what to click.
- Is it really a one-time payment?
- Yes. $10 buys the app and every future update. There is no subscription, no "pro" tier, and no feature held back to sell you later.
- How many machines does one licence cover?
- Two — one Mac and one Windows PC. The same key works on both, so you don't buy the app twice to use it on the machine you own and the one work gave you. Licence checks happen offline: no account, no server call, and the app keeps working if we ever vanish.
- What actually works right now?
- Area, window and full-screen capture; global hotkeys; a menu-bar app; gradient, solid and transparent backgrounds; padding, corner radius, inset and shadow; aspect ratios; twelve annotation tools including blur and pixelate; crop; and export to PNG, JPG or WebP at up to 3×, to a file or straight to the clipboard.
- What isn't built yet?
- Screen recording, GIF export, OCR text extraction, and cloud sharing links. They're on the roadmap and included in the one-time price when they land — but they don't exist today and the pricing page says so.
- Do I have to use cloud sharing when it arrives?
- No. It will be optional and off by default. Capture, editing, annotation and export all run entirely on your machine — that's a design constraint, not a limitation we plan to remove.
- How is this different from the screenshot tool built into my OS?
- The built-in tools capture well and stop there. The work of making a capture presentable — background, framing, annotation — is what you'd otherwise do by hand in an image editor. You can try that part free in the browser before installing anything.
